This page is an exact copy of the consent and permission texts shown in the Sestina app. Each of your choices is recorded together with the version number of the text you accepted. You can change each choice separately at any time in the App via Profile → Privacy & permissions.
The texts on this page are of two different kinds. The virtual try-on consents (section 2) are explicit consent under KVKK Art. 5/1. The AI permission (section 1) is an in-app preference; it is not a processing condition under the KVKK. The legal basis for that processing is KVKK Art. 5/2-c (establishing and performing a contract); the permission leaves it to you whether the processing takes place.
| Text | Nature | Record type | Version | When is it shown? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI permission | In-app preference | ai_processing | 1.1 | Before your first clothing item and your first “Match?” scan |
| Virtual try-on notice (“I've read this”) | Notice record | notice_shown | 2.0 | Before the virtual try-on consents; again for those who read a version before 2.0, the next time the virtual try-on consent screen opens |
| Virtual try-on · your photo | Explicit consent | tryon_photo | 1.0 | Before you upload a profile photo for the first time, and before you start a virtual try-on with your photo without this consent |
| Virtual try-on · your physical details | Explicit consent | tryon_physical | 1.0 | Before you save your physical profile for the first time, and before you start a virtual try-on with the AI mannequin without this consent |
AI PERMISSION
Can we process your photos with AI?
When you add clothes and use “Match?” scans, we send your photo to two service providers. We ask for your permission before sending anything.
What data?
Only the photo of the clothing item you add or the product you scan. If you allow this, the names of the styles you pick are also sent to Anthropic to create your Style DNA name. Your own photo, physical details, name and email address are not sent.
To whom, and why?
Poof · Germany — To remove the photo's background.
Anthropic · USA — To recognise the item's features such as category, colour, pattern and season.
Model training
According to the providers, the photos we send are not used to train their AI models.
If you don't allow it
You can keep using the app. Clothing photos are saved as they are (background not removed), and you choose the category, colour and season yourself. “Match?” scans stay off. You can change your choice at any time in Profile → Privacy & permissions.

Description on the Profile → Privacy & permissions screen:
AI photo processing
Your clothing and product photos are sent to Poof (Germany) for background removal and to Anthropic (USA) for feature recognition.
If you withdraw it, your existing clothes and their details are not deleted. New clothes are saved with the photo as it is, and you choose the category, colour and season. “Match?” scans turn off.
The virtual try-on screen first shows the notice (“Privacy notice”). The consent boxes cannot be ticked until you tap “I've read this”. Consent for your photo and for your physical details are independent; only the consent needed is asked.
Depending on their content and how they are used, your profile photo and virtual try-on images may count as special category personal data under KVKK Art. 6 (e.g. clothing and attire); the skin tone in your physical profile may also count as special category data in terms of race or ethnic origin. This is why virtual try-on is based on explicit consent and additional security measures are applied to this data (Privacy Policy, section 4).
Virtual try-on
We only process personal details for virtual try-on with your explicit consent. Please read the notice below first.
PRIVACY NOTICE
What data?
Your full-length photo, if you upload one; your physical details, if you fill them in (height, weight, age, body type, skin tone, hair colour, length and type).
What for?
Only for virtual try-on: to dress your clothes on your photo or on an AI mannequin generated from your physical details. They are not used for outfit suggestions.
Who receives it?
The try-on image is created by the image-generation service FASHN. Your photo is sent to FASHN via a link valid for 10 minutes; your physical details are sent as a description for generating an AI mannequin. Your own photo and physical details are not sent to Anthropic or Poof.
Special category data
Your profile photo, virtual try-on images and skin tone may count as special category personal data depending on their content and how they are used (clothing and attire; for skin tone, race or ethnic origin). This is why virtual try-on is based on your explicit consent.
Storage and control
This data is kept in your account for as long as your consent lasts. You can withdraw each consent separately in Profile → Privacy & permissions; the data tied to that consent and the images created with it are deleted.
Your rights
You can access your data and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Use Profile → Download my data to get a copy, or Delete My Account to delete all of it.

Users who saved a photo or physical details before the consents were split see the same screen once, at sign-in, with this introduction:
We now ask for virtual try-on consents separately. Please give the consents needed for the details you saved earlier; details tied to a consent you don't give will be deleted, and you can keep using the app.
[I Agree] [I don't agree to any (delete my data)]
When a consent is not given, a confirmation dialog listing the data to be deleted (the withdrawal descriptions in sections 2.2 and 2.3): “This data will be deleted” → [Don't Agree, Delete]
The Profile → Privacy & permissions screen shows your latest choice and its date for each permission (“Allowed · date”, “Not allowed · date” or “No choice made yet”). You can change each one separately with “Allow” or “Withdraw permission”. If the text you accepted has since been updated, a note is shown; if the major version changed, you are asked for the permission again. Details: Privacy Policy, Privacy Notice.
